I saw him fly in the mid 80s, but not know who it was until many years later. March AFB, ca. 1984, highway traffic stopped and most thought a terrorist had attacked the base. Ha! It was a short practice session for Bob, preceding a show. I’d never seen flying like that and certainly never by an ‘executive aircraft’ of the day. Wuz not and am not a pilot, but when the sticks do not turn, the energy is residual. The gentleman was is absolute command of that airplane!
Yes, I have just ordered you newest book. Clean, clear, crisp writing in your style and I know that the WUZ book will be the same. Great writing (and editing) really IS more fun to read. Please continue. -C
Thanks, Cook! Truly amazing man. There’s so much I DON’T know about aviation…and I learn just how much by listening to a man such as Bob Hoover speak!
Thank you for the kind words, Cook. It’s my greatest joy to hear others have connected with my own words. I hope you enjoy it!
