Everything you’ve always wanted to know about aviation but were afraid to ask!
Folks, I’ve been having gobs of fun over at my brand new Quora page, answering all your myriad aviation questions. As you probably know, Quora is a site where you can ask any expert anything about anything!
Questions on Quora seem to range from the mundane to the complex, to the funny, silly, and ridiculous! Frankly, many q’s I don’t even know how to begin to answer! But, the ones I do, I try to answer in depth.
I had planned it for a post or two, but you wrote in with so many questions, that the series expanded to six blog posts!
So, it makes sense that a Quora page might be the perfect compliment for our blog here.
Ask a question at Quora on my Home Page, or tag a request for me to answer someone else’s q from one of the other aviation pages, and I’ll do my best!
Today I’ll post a few sample questions that I think you’ll enjoy reading…
But First,
Congratulations to Bunny—
5 Years Cancer Free!!!
Just this morning, we got some amazing news: Team Aux Producer Bunny (who happens to be my wife!) received the results of her final cancer scan…
She is happy to report that, after 5 years of scans every 6 months, she is now officially in remission, and
CANCER FREE!!!
Special thanks to Dr. Puneett Bhalla and his staff for their fine services over the years!

My Answers to Your Q's
Remember how I said our Q&A session on the blog blew up to multiple posts? Well, just take a look at this: only a few days on Quora, and I’m already overwhelmed by Answer Requests!
I won’t be answering all of these questions, just the ones I think you’ll be interested in here on the blog—and, of course, only the ones the answers to which I know!
This blog post will be a sampling of some of those over on Quora, so scroll through and enjoy the answers.
We’ll end with a Hemisphere Dancing report, along with a special visit with Cap’n Dillon!
Finally, I’ll give you a sneak peek at our upcoming series, which I think you’ll be just as excited about as I am!
Again, if you have any questions of your own, come join us over on my Quora page!

Hemisphere Dancing Report
Folks, last week I was assigned to fly another LHR (London) trip, but this time out of CLT (Charlotte.)
Since I commute from PHX to DFW to start work, I was able to bypass the middleman (DFW) and jumpseat straight into CLT to start my workday. Same thing coming back! (I always enjoy cutting down on the “fat” of a trip!)
Iv’e got a couple cool pics to show you, but first check out my cool seat mate in front of me!
Say Hello to “David the Service Retriever!”
This time, we stayed at a hotel that was just a short walk from Parliament and the “Eye,” London’s famous ferris wheel!
After a few hours shuteye, FB Tony and I strolled over to a nearby pub, the Black Dog, for some scrumptious roasted peppers and their famous Friday Roast!
Finally, on the way home, we flew the day’s “C track westbound,” and raced a Delta bird passing the moon!

Cap'n Dillon's Excellent Birthday
Finally this week, I got to hang with everyone’s favorite Cap’n, Cap’n Dillon, for his birthday!
We kept it simple: steaks and shrimp grilled by Dad at home. But check out his bounty!
I got to be “Keeper of the Presents” till it was time for him to open them!
Cap’n D on the cover of Flying Magazine!
I gave Dillon some flying memorabilia, some of which came directly from you, our fellow Blog Buddies scattered around the world, who often send me stuff for him!
Thank you, fellow BBs, and thank you, Cap’n Dillon!
And, Finally,
